Former Spartan Connor Heyward reportedly signs with Las Vegas Raiders

Another former Spartan is heading to the Las Vegas Raiders.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Thursday that former Michigan State running back / tight end Connor Heyward has signed a two-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. The deal is worth $5.5 million, with $2 million fully guaranteed.

Heyward, who is listed as a fullback / tight end hybrid in the NFL, has played all four seasons of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He appeared in 68 games during his four years with the Steelers, recording three receiving touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in Pittsburgh.

Heyward is the second former Spartan to sign with the Raiders this week, joining former Michigan State wide receiver Jalen Nailor. He received a three-year deal worth $35 million with $23 million guaranteed.
