Former Kansas City Chiefs LB joins long-time AFC rival through waivers

According to ESPN's Ben Baby, former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Swayze Bozeman was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Bengals. He was recently let go by the New York Giants, two years after being part of the Chiefs' 2024 roster.

Bozeman began his college tenure at Copiah-Lincoln Community College and later stood out at Southern Miss, tallying 168 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, and an interception. He went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft before signing with the Chiefs.

BREAKING: The Bengals have signed a linebacker.

Cincinnati awarded LB Swayze Bozeman on waivers. Also signed UDFA S Isaiah Nwokobia.

Bozeman was on the practice squad until being elevated in a Week 14 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on special teams. He played three games and played a few snaps on defense in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bozeman was active for Kansas City's playoff run to Super Bowl LIX.

The following offseason, Bozeman joined the Chicago Bears and later spent the 2025 season on the Giants' practice squad, appearing in 6 games and recording six tackles.
