Former Jacksonville Jaguars' offensive coordinator Press Taylor will have a new role with the Chicago Bears.
According to Ian Rapoport, Taylor will now be the Bears' new offensive coordinator for the 2026 season under head coach Ben Johnson.
Taylor joined the Chicago coaching staff last offseason as the team's passing game coordinator.
He is replacing Declan Doyle, who is joining the Baltimore coaching staff as their offensive coordinator.
"Still considered a bright, young NFL mind at 38, he'll assist play-caller Ben Johnson install the game plan and keep an offense coming off its most points scored since 2013 rolling," Rapoport wrote.
Taylor had been the Jaguars' offensive coordinator from 2022 through the 2024 season under then-head coach Doug Pederson.
Prior to that, Taylor was with Pederson in Philadelphia as the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.
During Taylor's first season as offensive coordinator, the Jaguars averaged 23.9 points per game, which ranked ninth in the NFL. They also ranked ninth in yards per play as well.
However, in the two years that followed, the offensive production would decline. In 2023, the Jaguars ranked 15th in scoring and 17th in yards per play, and then bottomed out in 2024, finishing 26th in scoring and 18th in yards per play.
Johnson is the play-caller for the Chicago offense.
