The Anders Lee era with the Islanders is officially over.

Lee is signing a three-year deal with the Utah Mammoth, the team announced. The contract is worth $5.4 million AAV, according to multiple reports.

The separation between Lee and the Islanders was expected, as recent reporting stated that both sides were apart on a new deal and that the Isles captain was going to test the market as an unrestricted free agent.

Lee now joins former Ranger Vincent Trocheck in Utah in what has become a big offseason for the up-and-coming Mammoth.

The Islanders selected Lee with the sixth-round pick in the 2009 NHL Draft. In 923 career games across 14 seasons, the left winger has 308 goals and 241 assists (549 points). New York named Lee the organization's 15th captain in 2018.

Lee also delivered in the playoffs. He played in 46 postseason games and posted 10 goals and 11 assists. In the team's run to the Eastern Conference Finals during the 2019-2020 season, Lee scored seven goals and had four assists and was an overall plus-4 on the ice in 22 games played.

Last season, Lee played in every game and posted 19 goals and 23 assists. However, Lee's and the team's efforts fell short as they failed to make the postseason.
