Former Georgia Bulldogs starting quarterback Jake Fromm is celebrating a major personal accomplishment. Fromm and his wife, Caroline, had their second baby on Nov. 11. Fromm named his latest child Colton "Colt" Fromm.
Fromm is 27 and recently started a new career path. This fall, he joined Atlanta News First as a sports analyst, where he has covered college football and more this season. He is currently a free agent NFL quarterback after spending time with the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants and Washington Commanders. The Bills drafted Fromm in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL draft.
Most recently, Fromm was a member of the Detroit Lions' practice squad during the 2024 NFL season. However, the Lions waived Fromm in April before the 2025 NFL draft and he has not been signed since.
Fromm finished his Georgia career with a Sugar Bowl win over the Baylor Bears. He helped Georgia return to relevance in the beginning years of the Kirby Smart era.
Fromm led UGA to a 2017 SEC championship and Rose Bowl victory before the Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker in the national championship to Alabama. Fromm is currently the fifth all-time leading passer in Georgia history.
"The Fromm's grew to a family of four last night," Jake Fromm said via social media. "Thank you Lord for this answered prayer - Colton "Colt" James Fromm 11/11/25."
