A Georgia Bulldog offensive lineman is heading to the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins have signed OL Jamaree Salyer to a one-year deal, according to their official X account. Financial details haven't emerged on his deal.

The 2022 sixth-round pick has carved out an NFL career that would make most sixth-rounders envious. While most usually bounce around waiting for starting opportunities, Salyer broke through to be a starting offensive lineman for the Los Angeles Chargers. When starting left tackle Rashawn Slater suffered an injury in Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season, Salyer started the rest of the 2022 season as the left tackle. He was a pleasant surprise, earning a 69.8 PFF grade and a 76.4 pass-blocking grade.

He started the entirety of the 2023 season as well, although he was moved to right guard with Slater coming back. He had just a 54.2 PFF grade, allowing eight sacks and 41 pressures.

From 2024 onward, Salyer was used more as depth on the offensive line, perhaps due to a new head coach/offensive coordinator hire and a change in offensive philosophy. Salyer started just nine games in the past two seasons. In 2025, his PFF grade stood at just 59.9. He allowed 22 pressures and four sacks, while also generating eight penalties, according to PFF Premium (subscription needed).

Still, he could easily start for the Dolphins. Salyer has experience both as a tackle and as a guard, with 1,000 snaps at both positions in his NFL career. According to a depth chart, Sayler would slide in as the starting right guard, but he'll likely have to compete for a starting spot.

Before his time in the NFL, Salyer played with the Bulldogs from 2018-21. He was a second-team All-American in 2021 as the team's primary left tackle. He allowed one sack and 14 pressures in his entire Georgia career, helping the Bulldogs win the national championship.
