Back on July 17, 2025, former Wisconsin Badgers star Markus Ilver signed a professional contract with Tartu Ülikool.

Less than one year later, he's won the Estonian League Title with the team that took on a chance on him coming out of college.

Ilver wasn't the most prolific player in college, far from it, but he was a four-year forward on Greg Gard's squad, one that saw him average no more than 6.6 minutes per game in any season.

Regardless, he proved he's ready to compete at the next level and did just that by being named to the All-Star Five team.

TAA Sports touted the success of Ilver, a rookie who led the series finale in scoring.

Knowing he scored just 96 points in 73 games at the collegiate level, it's incredible to see how far he's come. As a native of Tallin, Estonia, Ilver will look to continue making a name for himself on the international stage and see where his career takes him.
