Former Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Eddie Goldman worked out for the New York Giants on Tuesday, according to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport. Goldman has retired multiple times over the last few years, but he apparently hasn't had his fill of NFL action.

"Veteran DT Eddie Goldman, who played last year for the Commanders, worked out for the Giants today, source said," reported Rapoport. "The 32-year-old started six games in 2025."

The Falcons initially signed Goldman in 2022, back when defensive coordinator Dean Pees was still in Atlanta. However, the former Chicago Bears defensive tackle had a change of heart and retired before the 2022 NFL season started.

The following year, Goldman attempted to return to Atlanta but changed his mind and sat out for another full season. In 2024, he was reinstated by the NFL and finally played made his Falcons debut.

During his lone season in Atlanta, Goldman appeared in all 17 games (10 starts), and recorded 16 tackles (seven solo), three QB hits and one sack. Last year, the veteran nose tackle signed with the Washington Commanders.

In other roster news, former Falcons running back Carlos Washington Jr. has signed with the Miami Dolphins. Atlanta returned to the field on Tuesday to begin its second round of OTAs.
