Tony Romo is facing legal trouble after an arrest in Wisconsin.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, 46, was arrested in Milwaukee on the evening of Thursday, July 23, for allegedly operating a vehicle while under the influence, local outlet Fox 6 reported on July 24.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said Romo was pulled over while driving southbound on I-43 on a high-rise bridge. According to the outlet, authorities took the retired football player into custody after allegedly performing poorly on several field sobriety tests.

In the mug shot, for what is Romo’s first known arrest, he appeared to have a slight smile while posing for the camera.

It’s unclear what, if any, charges Romo will face. In Wisconsin, a first-offense OWI is generally considered a civil offense rather than a criminal charge and typically carries a fine between $150 and $300.

The sports star, who grew up in Burlington, Wisconsin, was released from jail shortly after, and is due in court on September 21, per the outlet.

Romo, who spent his entire NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys from 2003 to 2016, has since traded the field for the broadcast booth as a CBS Sports analyst.

He famously dated Jessica Simpson from 2007 to 2009, and married Candice Crawford in 2011. The couple shares three children.
