Former Cincinnati Bengals coaches have mostly settled into roles around the NFL now that each head-coaching vacancy has been filled.
Mostly.
One notable exception? Former Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan. He’s quietly been a candidate to return to Cincinnati in some fashion if all other opportunities close.
But according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Callahan is a candidate for the offensive coordinator role with the New York Giants and new head coach John Harbaugh, formerly of the Baltimore Ravens.

Per Fowler, Callahan and former Washington offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury are in the mix for the job in New York.
Callahan recently popped up as a finalist for the same job with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Current Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher was a finalist there, too. Those Bucs went with (former Bengals quarterback) Zac Robinson, instead.
There’s perhaps still a very small outside chance that Callahan is a candidate to return to the Bengals and Zac Taylor in some smaller capacity. But this hiring cycle has shown that he’s still a pretty hot commodity, too.
