Florida State has lost three commitments in its 2027 recruiting class since the end of May. However, they've responded by landing eight in the month of June.
This week has been a very good one for the Seminoles in particular. It started on Monday when three-star linebacker CJ Ohuabunwa committed. On Wednesday, they secured their top-ranked prospect when four-star defensive lineman Sam LeJeune made his pledge.
There's one more domino to fall for FSU in order for this week, and the month of June as a whole, to be a major success. Three-star running back Marquis Fennell, who has been projected to the Seminoles, will announce his decision at 7 p.m. ET alongside his high school teammate Deron Foster.
Fennell is a dual-threat weapon coming off a junior year in which he racked up nearly 1,500 yards rushing, over 750 yards receiving, and 33 total touchdowns. He would not only be a perfect fit in Florida State's offense, but he'd make a dynamic duo at running back with four-star Jayden Miles, who committed earlier this month.
The momentum that FSU has in recruiting has been pretty remarkable, and it's been desperately needed, to say the least. Snagging Fennell would wrap up an incredible month of June, and possibly persuade other prospects who are considering the Seminoles.
