Florida football lands three players on preseason All-SEC team in media poll

Florida football junior running back Jadan Baugh headlined three UF players named to preseason All-SEC team in its media poll on July 24.

The 6-foot-1, 228-pound Baugh was named to the All-SEC second team at running back, while defensive end Jayden Woods and wide receiver Vernell Brown III earned third-team honors as a return specalist.

Baugh started all 12 games for the Florida Gators in 2025, ranking third in the SEC in rushing with 1,170 yards and 8 TDs on 220 carries. Baugh also was effective catching balls out of the backfield. with 31 catches for 185 receiving yards and 2 TDs. As a result, Baugh also earned third-team All-SEC all purpose honors for his role as a running back and receiver.

Woods, at 6-3 and 244 pounds, led UF in sacks with 3.5 last season and was third in tackles for loss with 5. Overall, Woods posted 28 total tackles, an interception, a pass breakup, two QB hurries and a fumble recovery in his true freshman season in 2025 to earn freshman All-SEC honors.

In addition to posting a team-high 512 receiving yards as a true freshman, Brown emerged as a punt and kick return threat for UF in 2025. He totaled 261 return yards across 18 kick and punt returns and was one of two freshman and 18 players in the FBS to have five punt returns of 20-plus yards.

Florida was picked to finish ninth the 16-team SEC in its first season undr Jon Sumrall. The Gators were also picked to finish ninth in the USA Today preseason college football poll. Georgia was picked to win the SEC for the third straight year.
