Florida baseball won its fifth straight game Tuesday night with a seven-inning, run-rule victory over the Stetson Hatters, 14-4.

Bobby Boser led the Gators' offense with three solo home runs, which hasn't been done since Jac Caglianone accomplished the feat in February 2023. Ashton Wilson also hit a three-run homer in the fifth inning, and Blake Cyr went deep in the sixth to help Florida tie its season-high with five bombs on the day.

"I think (Boser) has got great make-up," Kevin O'Sullivan said after the game. "I think he's just tough as nails. We led off Wyatt (Langford) in the past, too, and he wasn't your traditional guy. But even though he's got a bit of strikeouts, his on-base percentage is pretty good, and statistically, that's where a lot of, especially at the major league level, that's the ones that they're looking at is on-base percentage."

It wasn't just big flies for Florida, though. The Gators' hitters combined for 13 hits total, including five doubles. Three of those doubles came in the seventh inning to help satisfy the run rule. Hayden Yost and Wilson hit back-to-back two-baggers to open the frame, and Brendan Lawson finished things off with a two-RBI double. Wilson ended the night with four RBI and a triple short of the cycle. Colby Shelton and Brody Donay also had two hits in the game.

Stetson scores early, but Philly shuts 'em down

Jackson Barberi got the start for Florida. A two-out error extended the first for Stetson and led to a pair of unearned runs crossing the plate for an early Hatters lead. Three consecutive singles, two on bunts, loaded the bases with no outs for Barberi in the second, but he got out of the jam with a shallow flyout to left field and a pair of backward Ks. A two-out walk in the third ended his night, with the Gators still trailing 2-1 at that point.

Alex Philpott took over and gave up a two-run homer to make it 4-1, but that's all the scoring he'd allow over the next 3 1/3 innings. In fact, Philpott didn't give up another hit in his outing, walking just one batter in the fifth.

"I think Barberi ran a little out of gas there in the second inning when he had bases loaded, nobody out," O'Sullivan said. "I don't know if he was getting into his legs or maybe spinning off there a little bit there in the third. Other than the two-run homer that Philpott gave up to Lopez, he was outstanding and really the game kind of switched gears when he started pitching in to those right-handed hitters."

Florida's offense gets rolling

Luke Heyman reached on an error by the Stetson left fielder in the third, which scored Lawson from first. Donay tied the game up later in the inning, doubling in Heyman and scoring Blake Cyr on an error from the right fielder. Boser's second home run of the night gave Florida the lead in the fourth, Wilson's three-run shot extended it in the fifth and Boser and Cyr delivered homers in the sixth. The Gators scored three runs in four of the seven offensive frames, including the last three innings.

Christian Rodriguez threw a 1-2-3 seventh inning before the offense put the game away.
