Though the Vikings entered the 2025 NFL Draft with fewer picks than any other team, general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah still managed to fill some holes while simultaneously adding depth across the board.
The draft picks included Ohio State offensive guard Donovan Jackson, Maryland receiver Tai Felton, Georgia defensive tackle Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, Penn State linebacker Kobe King and Pittsburgh tight end Gavin Bartholomew.
It will be interesting to see all of those players when the Vikings hit the field for rookie minicamp this weekend at TCO Performance Center. It will also be interesting see some of the undrafted free agents start the process of competing for spots on the roster.
Here are five undrafted players to keep an eye on at rookie minicamp:
Position: Quarterback
College: Minnesota
Analysis: Let’s just say Brosmer needs no introduction in this neck of the woods after establishing himself as a household name with the Gophers. If he sticks at the next level, it will be because of his anticipation and his accuracy delivering the ball all over the field. He completed 268 of 403 passes for 2,828 passing yards and 18 touchdowns last season. It was the best play the Gophers have had at the position in more than a decade.
Position: Edge Rusher
College: BYU
Analysis: Maybe the most impressive part of Batty’s skill set is his ability to impact the game with his power. He also has good size for the position in his 6-foot-6, 270-pound frame. That combination should help him stand out among his peers in the early stages. The biggest thing working against Batty in his quest to make the team is the gluttony of talent that the Vikings already have at the position.
Position: Receiver
College: Texas
Analysis: The intrigue of Bolden starts and stops with his ability on special teams. His pathway to make the team will more than likely hinge on him proving himself as a kick and punt returner. That said, if Bolden is able to show flashes as a receiver starting this spring, it will improve his odds of making the team this summer.
Position: Offensive Tackle
College: Kansas
Analysis: Not many people thought Brown would be available on the open market. The fact that the Vikings were able to get him under contract is already a win in and of itself. He was a highly touted prospect heading into college, and while he didn’t exactly live up to expectations, Brown projects as a player with a lot of untapped potential.
Position: Receiver
College: Maine
Analysis: The fact that Moss is the son of legendary receiver Randy Moss probably helped him get his foot in the door. Now, it’s up to Moss to carve out his own niche. Technically he arrives in the Twin Cities on a tryout, so this weekend will be crucial for him. If he doesn’t make a splash, Moss likely won’t be sticking around.
