His run against the weak-sisters is over.

This will be a test for the donkey's and particularly Jake.

Does he revert to past form?

Does he validate his turn-around?

My opinion: I will just say he is NOT starting on MY fantasy team this week...

He threw 2 picks last year against the "bad" KC defense. I'll admit that Jake is playing better, but this week will remind people that Jake still has a lot of room to grow.

And here I thought this was a Delhomme vs New Orleans thread.

The Chiefs defense was available in my fantasy league this week. To say the least I picked'em up & they are starting....

My take:

Shanahan stroked Portis in the Bungle game, it was never a contest.

Shanahan stroked Portis again in the Boltz game, it was never a contest.

Shanahan thought the faiders were a real test. The hated rival, on the big Monday night stage. He made Plummer look great, and found out early that he could rest Portis in the game, it never was a contest.

Shanahan rested Portis again in the lion game, while giving Jake a little adversity, since it never was a contest.

This game was targeted two weeks ago. Portis is well rested, Jake is primed, the chefs are at home with one of the top two teams in the league. Jake leads the donkeys on his first patented come from behind victory. Plummer performs better as the pressure increases, always has, this will be no different.

And the talk of an undefeated season begins.

True it's hard to argue with the way he responded to the pressure in Minnesota in the playoff game.

Sorry, cheapshot. Clearly the biggest game to date although I actually think the 4 after will be tougher for Jake. Pittsburgh seems to have fixed the pass defense issues they had last year fairly well, then at Minnesota(dome) and at Baltimore(good defense), then another monday night home game against New England.

I'd expect a dropoff but he won't play as badly as he did against Cincy. I think the Colt preseason game and the Bengal game were enough to convince Shanahan he can not ask Jake to sit in the pocket and pick apart a defense. He's rolling him out and using the option to run as a "checkdown" if the primary guy isn't open.

I figure if the game is relative close 1-2 picks and 1-2 TD, if they fall behind early more picks.

I think the key is going to be how Trent Green plays he's not exactly lit it up this year so far.
