No. 11 Auburn (32-14, 12-10 SEC) defeated No. 6 Tennessee (36-10, 13-9 SEC), 6-1, in game No. 1 on Saturday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Vols and Tigers are playing a three-game series.

Game No. 1 started at 8:02 p.m. EDT on Friday after being delayed from a scheduled 6:30 p.m. EDT first pitch time. Auburn had five at bats in the first inning before umpires delayed the game.
Liam Doyle started the series opener for the Vols. He pitched one inning and recorded two strikeouts, while allowing a two-run home run to Ike Irish and one walk. Doyle totaled 23 pitches, including 12 strikes, against five batters.
Tegan Kuhns served as Tennessee’s pitcher when the game resumed at 11:35 a.m. EDT on Saturday. He pitched 4.2 innings in relief and totaled six strikeouts. Kuhns recorded 74 pitches (49 strikes) against 18 batters.
Game No. 2 between Tennessee and Auburn is scheduled to start 45 minutes after the conclusion of the series opener on Saturday (around 3 p.m. EDT).
