Firebirds reveal 2026-27 season will begin on Oct. 2, other key dates

If you are a Coachella Valley Firebirds fan and you like to plan ahead, the team has your back as they announced some key dates for the 2026-27 season Friday afternoon including an earlier-than-ever opening day.

The Firebirds released the dates of five key home games, including fan favorites like the home opener, the Teddy Bear Toss game and Pride Night on their social media platforms.

The season will begin on Oct. 2 at Acrisure Arena, and if that seems early, it is. The Firebirds inaugural season began on Oct. 16, their second season began Oct. 13, their third season began Oct. 11 and last season began Oct. 10.

Here are the five dates that will definitely feature home games for the Firebirds in the upcoming 2026-27 season.

• Oct. 2: Home opener
• Oct. 30: Los Firebirds Night (Dia de los Muertos)
• Dec. 20: Teddy Bear Toss Night
• Dec. 31: New Year's Eve Game
• Jan. 9: Pride Night

None of the released dates for games include opponents. The Firebirds will have 36 regular season home games and the full schedule will be released later this summer.

Season tickets are available now for the upcoming season, individual game tickets will go on sale closer to the start of the season.
