We are just a day away from the start of the 2025 NFL draft. This offseason has dragged on with very little activity aside from the trade for wide receiver DK Metcalf. This is our final mock draft update for the Steelers ahead of the real thing and we took into consideration players the Steelers had in for predraft visits.

First round - QB Shedeur Sanders - Colorado

It really feels like if he's on the board, the Steelers are taking Sanders and the chances are very good he makes it all the way to pick No. 21.

Third round - RB DJ Giddens - Kansas State

Giddens has that long speed and acceleration the rushing game needs.

Fourth round - DT Joshua Farmer - FSU

Powerful interior defensive lineman who is adept at anchoring against the run and chasing down quarterbacks.

Fifth round - OL Ajani Cornelius - Oregon

Cornelius struggled some at tackle last season but we think his natural position in the NFL is at guard, where he can be very good.

Sixth round - DT Cam Horsley - Boston College

We come back for more help at defensive tackle with Horsley who is more of a pure run stuffer.

Seventh round - WR Bru McCoy - Tennessee

The Steelers have a couple of options on the inside at wide receiver but they are mostly undersized, quick players like Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson. But McCoy is a huge target who lacks deep speed but is a pure chain mover in the slot.
