Anyone named Stoops has a hard time winning in Arizona. Second half should be a battle.

Wow...who would have thought WVU would be having such an easy time of it tonight? I'm beginning to think Stoops isn't a big game coach (his 1 Nat'l Cahmpionship not withstanding). If things remain the same he'll have lost 4 of his teams last 5 bowl games and all 4 were BCS games.

The guy is the most overblown coach in America.

The 2 point try followed by the onside kick was maybe the dumbest combo of decisions I've ever seen. It's almost like he was saying, "You thought that 2 point try was stupid? Watch THIS, you ain't seen stupid yet!"

The guy is the most overblown coach in America.
9 years at OU, 6 BCS games, 1 national title, 5 Big 12 titles after inheriting a losing program.

How exactly is that overblown? Every program in the country would kill for that kind of production. He's lost a few bowl games in embarrassing fashion (against a all-time USC team, with no QB against Boise State, and tonight against a squad that's playing on Monday if not for Pat White injuries) but his track record as a whole speaks for itself. When all is said and done Bob Stoops will have at least two national championships and countless conference titles to look back on. His brother on the other hand...

Who was the genius to bring WV to the Fiesta Bowl this year.. Its been one big long soap opera around here since they showed up in PHX.. "You stole my man!" blah blah blah.. Now some Brian Bozworth wanna crying on National tv..

Last year we had the proposal from the Boise State dude.. Is this even football anymore that the Fiesta Bowl committee is letting us watch anymore?

Personally, I don't think he'll win another NC. But, the main reason I think he's overblown is that I don't like him. :D

This current, extremely young OU team is probably a Sam Bradford injury away from being in the NC game and DeMarco Murray and Bradford are both freshman which is scary. Stoops will get back to the NC game again, he's only 47.

The kicker/punter for WV has an AMAZING leg. I don't know who all was there, but in warmups he went 5/6 from 50 yards, 2/3 from 55, 2/2 from 60 and 1/2 from 70. It was amazing watching the OU team move during warmups to allow him to set up on their half of the field to kick FGs. Now he did have one blocked so he might just launch the ball at a really low angle which allows him to make these FGs, but it was crazy to watch. He is just a junior, but he hasn't had a very good year kicking the ball...but if he ever learns how to direct his kicks he would be a real threat.

3 observations/ questions from this game

#1 How in Hell did West Virginia lose to Pittsburgh at home?

#2 Someone please tell me that next preseason Oklahoma will not be in the top 5 rankings.

#3 WTF happened with Malcolm Kelly, OU's "great" WR?

BTW, these big game losses by Stoops are becoming common. The guy gets out
"X'ed and O'ed" .

That's funny because the wags in the college football press have been joking that Bob Stoops can't "win the little ones".

Stoops wins the Big XII South because he only has to beat Mack Brown and if you watched how uptight/freaked out Brown and his staff were in the Holiday Bowl against ASU you can see why Stoops usually wins that one.

Texas Tech belongs in the Mountain West where they'd win 10 or more games every year. A&M thinks they only play one game every year-Texas. OkState has the same problem with OU. Baylor should be in Division 1-AA.

Kelly was doubtful all week with a leg injury. The guy who replaced him was great.

Why didn't Murray play, I think he would have helped the OU run game some?

Why did OU continually blitz Pat White? Every key 3rd down was the same, they'd blitz, White would run for the first down, and then Haden would tell us how hard it is to account for the QB when you blitz, so why blitz?

WVU was really impressive, all the big plays made this game watchable otherwise all the damn penalties would have killed the game. I know there were some obvious holds that weren't called and some that were but it got to be ridiculous they couldn't run 2 plays without a penalty. That's the problem in bowl games teams are never sharp with the layoffs.
