Aliyah Boston built her WNBA reputation around the paint. This season, the Indiana Fever star has added another weapon to her game and is on a historic run.
The 6-foot-5 forward//center rarely relied on 3-pointers during her first three WNBA seasons. She made only 17 across 124 games and shot 26.2% from deep during that stretch.

Now, Boston has turned herself into a legitimate perimeter threat.
The development gives Indiana another way to attack defenses. Teams already have to defend Boston around the basket, but they also have to respect her jumper.
She entered the WNBA as the No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft. The former South Carolina standout immediately made an impact and won Rookie of the Year unanimously. She also became the first rookie in league history to lead the WNBA in field-goal percentage.
Boston no longer looks like a center who simply steps outside occasionally. She is now a player who can punish defenses from anywhere.

Boston has delivered her most complete season yet. Through 25 games, she is averaging 17.0 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. She also shot 53.2% from the field and 45.8% from 3-point range. More importantly, the 24-year-old remains healthy and gearing up for the playoffs.
The 3-point number stands out.
The U.S. Virgin Islands-native entered WNBA as a dominant interior scorer. Boston welcomed 2026 with a 14.9-point career scoring average. She has raised that mark to 17.0 points per game this season.
Boston also secured her long-term future with Indiana. She signed a multiyear contract through the 2029 season in April and became the first player to sign under the WNBA’s new EPIC provision.
