Caitlin Clark missed the Indiana Fever's first 2025 preseason game against the Washington Mystics due to a leg injury. Fortunately, she was able to suit up when the team played the Brazil women's national team on Sunday.
Even better, it was a homecoming for Clark, as the Fever played at Carver-Hawkeye Arena where the 23-year-old sharpshooter had built a legendary career that saw her become the all-time scoring leader for both men's and women's basketball with 3,951 points.
After Clark recorded 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and one block to lead the Fever to a 108-44 victory over Brazil, she reflected on her Iowa return during her interview with ESPN's Holly Rowe.
What made the moment even more special, however, was how the Fever players crashed Clark's interview to show their support and celebrate her.
Sure enough, the gesture had fans buzzing, with many sharing how much they loved the interaction.
"Teammates surrounding her! This [expletive] means some to me," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "I was literally in tears when the team came up. Mad love for you all!"
"The team coming into the shot was honestly so big. Encapsulates what was missing last yr," a fan added.
"They’re gonna win it all. Their chemistry is fantastic," a supporter claimed.
A fifth poster shared, "Watched this live, and loved the way her teammates jumped in and then stayed by her side."

It's important to note that of the 15 players on the Fever's training camp roster, only five were from the 2024 squad. The other 10 consisted of free agent signings, trade acquisitions and rookies.
Despite that, the bond that the team has developed in just a short time has been truly incredible.
