The Indiana Fever are gearing up for the second season of the Caitlin Clark era — this time under new head coach Stephanie White.

White has years of WNBA coaching experience, notching stints with the Fever, Chicago Sky and Connecticut Sun. Last year, she coached the Connecticut squad that beat Clark and the Fever in the first round of the WNBA playoffs.

The Fever made some big-time free-agent moves this offseason, adding veteran weapons like DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard and Sydney Colson. This veteran support around a rising superstar like Clark could be the recipe for a deep postseason run in 2025.

After the Fever's practice on Monday, White made a strong statement about Indiana's roster heading into their 2025 campaign.

“As far as the teams that I’ve coached in the W, it’s the deepest, most talented roster I’ve been a part of,” White said. "... You look at the depth of this roster and the opportunity to play with a lot of different lineups and in a lot of different ways.”

“Everybody knows we have so much talent, but at the same time, you’ve got to put that together,” Caitlin Clark said. “...It’s going to take a little bit of time to figure things out.”

Clark, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, put together a stunning debut campaign as the Fever's No. 1 overall pick. The former Iowa sharpshooter averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and a league-leading 8.4 assists per game — leading the Fever to the franchise's first playoff appearance since 2016.

Clark hopes this year's talented roster can come together and achieve even more in 2025.

“Everybody knows we have so much talent, but at the same time, you’ve got to put that together,” Clark said. “It’s not going to be like, alright, you have all these great players, you step out on the court, it’s going to work. It’s going to take a little bit of time to figure things out, figure out how everybody works with one another.”

The Fever will tipoff their 2025 WNBA regular-season schedule with a highly-anticipated matchup against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on May 17.
