Okay..another poll about a band that has been widely disccused on here....

What's your favorite Metallica studio album?

I bet that none after "Metallica" (aka "Black Album) probably won't generate any votes....

Any other compilations like both "Garage Days" and "S&M" or any other c.d. albums arent included, but open to discussion.....

Mine at the moment is "Kill 'Em All" with "Ride The Lightning" and "Master Puppets" both equal at #2, but both of those not a "huge" margin.....

Master! Master!!!

One of the best and most influencial metals album of all time. I haven't listened to this album in quite some time, yet I can remember every drum hit, every lead line, every bass squawk, every vocal note for note. It was so damn good it just stuck in my memory all these years. That was TRUE Metallica.

Yeah.. it's such a difficult decision since I love all of the songs off of "Master Puppets" (IE "Orion" and "Battery") and agree it was essentially defining moment (masterpiece), but for some odd reason I've been listening to "Kill 'Em All" a lot more recently and appreciate the 'rawness" on it.......

Edit: Although.. "One" is absolutely my favorite Metallica song.....

"..And Justice for All" or "Master Of Puppets"

Both great CD's...

These two albums, to me, show why Cliff Burton was a driving force in Metallica's song writing. Most songs on "Justuce" were written by Cliff, although he was dead and couldn't play on the album. Anyways, after "Justice" the songs started becoming less complicated, and more radio-ready. Metallica now just sucks. I wish they'd call it quits.

I voted for Kill 'Em All.

..And Justice for All and Master of Puppets are close seconds.

I like some of the new stuff. It is totally different music but I like it.

St. Anger not included.

I was just listening to S&M yesterday.

Which one is the shortest? I'll vote for that one. :)

That's OK man, I would have that same answer on the Genesis thread. :D

BTW that would probably be Kill 'Em All.

heheh, no votes for their last 3 albums. Wonder why :D

I had thought someone would have voted for "Load".....

I mean... "Mama Said" was their best song ever recorded!
