There is a first for the Mascot Hall of Fame. Mrs. Met has been honor as enshrinee, making her the first female mascot.

Mrs. Met joins Mr. Met, who was inducted in the Mascot Hall of Fame Class of 2007. It has been a long trip for Mrs. Met to finally be recognized. She debuted in 1975.

"WE DID IT!," Mrs. Met posted to here 32,000-plus followers on Instagram. "I am officially the first female mascot elected into the Mascot Hall of Fame! This is truly one of the proudest moments of my entire life. Thank you to each and every person who voted and showed so much love and support throughout this journey. It is truly the greatest honor! ️"
