Fans react to Rams taking Alabama QB Ty Simpson at No. 13

The Los Angeles Rams made perhaps one of the boldest moves of the 2026 NFL draft when they selected Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson with the No. 13 overall pick. Even with Matthew Stafford back for at least one more season, Simpson gives the Rams a clear succession plan at quarterback.

Fan reaction was pretty mixed, as some fans were frustrated that the Rams took a developmental quarterback with their pick, but others were happy to see the Rams planning for their future and trust Sean McVay to turn Simpson into the next franchise quarterback.

Hate it or love it, he fits what the Rams want in a QB. People forget how good he was before he got hurt.
