Fans loved Mike Tirico's incredible call of Ravens missed field goal

NBC's Mike Tirico absolutely nailed a missed field goal in the final minutes of a Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers matchup, and you need to hear it in all its glory.

(Before we get to Tirico's amazing call, if you're a Ravens fan reading this, I'm truly sorry, friend. You're a soldier for watching Sunday night's game, and then turning around to re-live your pain here. Now on to Tirico.)

There's a reason you hear Tirico's voice for so many of the biggest events in sports, including the Olympics. He's one of the best in the business. Truthfully, Sunday night's wild Ravens-Steelers game might as well have been the Olympics. It was peak cinema with Olympic-level elements, including *checks notes* holy water. (Yes, holy water.) With two seconds on the clock, down 26-24, the Ravens had a chance to walk off the field and into the postseason with a made field goal and a division championship.

However, moments like that can be a lot of pressure on a team and a rookie kicker. Unfortunately, it went exactly how you're probably already imagining. Still, Tirico's call made it so strangely mesmerizing that you couldn't look away. "The final play of the regular season for the final spot in the playoffs. Tyler Loop from 44," Tirico says just before disaster struck.
