The Golden State Warriors are on the road on Thursday night as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2 of their second-round series.

Of course, the Warriors were able to steal Game 1 on the road on Tuesday night despite their superstar point guard Stephen Curry exiting the game early in the second quarter due to a left hamstring injury.

Curry would never return to Tuesday’s contest and the Warriors announced on Wednesday after his MRI that he suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, which will keep him sidelined for at least one week.

Stephen Curry, who exited last night’s game against the Timberwolves with 8:19 remaining in the second quarter with a strained left hamstring, underwent an MRI this morning.

This is a massive blow for the Warriors as they will now be without their best player for most of their series against the Timberwolves as many believe that he will not be able to return until Game 6.

Despite this, fans are gaining optimism after a Warriors’ insider posted a photo of Curry on social media on Thursday morning.

The Athletic’s Anthony Slater posted a picture of Curry at shootaround ahead of Thursday’s Game 2 between the Warriors and Timberwolves on X that had fans very excited.

“GAME 3 RETURN,” one fan commented.

“Yeah, it was just a cramp,” another said after Slater’s post.

“BIG NEWS? OMG,” another fan commented.

While it is an encouraging sign that Curry is at Warriors’ shootaround ahead of Thursday night’s game, Slater did not say if he was actively going through shootaround with the team or if he was just there as a leader of the team.

Fans should also not get their hopes up too much as it is clear that Curry’s injury is going to sideline for at least a week like Golden State announced and the Warriors are going to make sure that he is as healthy as possible whenever he eventually returns.

Despite this, it is an encouraging sign for the Warriors that Curry is at shootaround in good spirits as he continues to recover from his hamstring injury.
