This is the time of year where teams tinker with their rosters constantly. After seeing players at the bottom of the roster in OTAs, minicamp, and training camp sessions, the churn begins and teams try to strike gold with potentially useful reserves and practice squad types hanging out there in free agency.
The Falcons are no exception. Per multiple reports, they’re bringing in a pair of United Football League players for workouts this week, and one or both could certainly end up signing.
The first is Jayden Peevy, who has appeared in six NFL games with 1.5 sacks and bounced around among practice squads and rosters as an undrafted free agent. He was drafted by the UFL and has already been with two teams, but now may get a real shot at an NFL summer. Peevy came into the league with size, power, and quality hand usage that made him intriguing; landing with a defensive line guru like Nate Ollie may help him turn some of those traits into production.
The second workout is wide receiver Tay Martin, who has been in the league as an undrafted free agent since 2022 before joining the UFL early in 2026. Martin was pretty productive in the UFL and has appeared in seven NFL games, reeling in three of four targets for 72 yards and a touchdown. Martin has special teams experience and stands north of 6 feet (he’s listed at 6’3” on Wikipedia and 6’1” on the UFL’s website, so there’s some ambiguity), and the size and third phase value may give him a shot at competing for a spot in this muddled receiver group if he can get signed. We’ll see.
Expect to hear news of a signing or signings by the end of the week, if indeed any happen.
