Falcons urged to make big moves in NFL Draft originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Atlanta Falcons are a fascinating watch in 2026, mainly because of the quarterback situation with Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr.
It isn't known who will be starting for Kevin Stefanski, and whoever does, they will have some nice pieces in Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Bijan Robinson.
But do the Falcons need more?
NFL.com's Gennaro Filice thinks so, and it could come in the draft.
“Whether it’s Michael Penix Jr. or Tua Tagovailoa, whoever starts next season under center for the Falcons needs a reliable receiver beyond Drake London," Filice wrote. "Bargain signings Jahan Dotson and Olamide Zaccheaus don’t fit the bill.
“Germie Bernard, Zachariah Branch, Antonio Williams and Malachi Fields are all intriguing pass catchers who should be available on Day 2.”

Who will be QB for Falcons?
That is one of the fascinating questions around Atlanta's entire offseason.
Penix Jr. is rehabbing his injured knee, so that could give Tua the inside track at the starting role. The Falcons will likely be giving Tagovailoa the starting reps while Penix rehabs, and if Tua looks good, he might be Stefanski's choice.
Already with some nice pieces, the Falcons could look to load up in the draft to give whoever is at quarterback the best chance at putting up points.
Either way, the Falcons remain an interesting watch over the coming months, one due to who will be the quarterback, and the other being how they approach the draft.
