Falcons signing two former UFL players to 90-man roster

The Atlanta Falcons are signing two former UFL players to their 90-man roster, according to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. The team will reportedly sign defensive tackle Devonnsha Maxwell and edge Keshawn Banks.

Maxwell most recently played for the DC Defenders in the UFL. The 27-year-old spent time on the Cincinnati Bengals roster in 2024 but has not played in an NFL regular season game.

Banks, 26, spent last season with the UFL Storm but previously played with the New England Patriots during the 2024 season. Perhaps this move could be a sign that the Falcons are expecting a James Pearce suspension soon.

"The Falcons are signing edge Keshawn Banks, the latest UFL player to land with an NFL team," reported Garafolo. "Banks, an undrafted free agent with the Packers in 2023 who played three games for the Patriots in ’24, had five sacks and a league-high 11 TFLs this season for the UFL Storm."

Pearce has been present at mandatory minicamp the last two days, however, most around the league are expect the edge rusher to receive a suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Check out the Falcons' updated 90-man roster, which would technically sit at 92 players until the team makes a corresponding move to free up two more roster spots.
