The Atlanta Falcons are wrapping up a busy week in Flowery Branch. The team released new uniforms, hosted Florida cornerback Devin Moore on a pre-draft visit and signed two more players in NFL free agency.

Former Falcons quarterback Cousins signed a complicated contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. Cousins gives the team a competent bridge quarterback to pair with presumptive No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza in 2026.

In today's Falcons recap, Cousins surpasses Tom Brady in career earnings, Atlanta's offseason workout schedule is revealed and we examine the team's new uniforms.

Falcons uniforms officially revealed

On Thursday, the team finally unveiled its new uniforms and the response wasn't overly positive or negative. Some fans were upset that the Falcons' didn't incorporate their red throwback helmets into the main design, while others praised the revamped uniform numbers. However, most agreed that the new jerseys were an improvement over the previous set. Check out the Falcons' new uniforms below.

Kirk Cousins signs with Raiders

Former Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins has signed a five-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders, although it's essentially a one-year, $20 million contract. This deal will officially put Cousins ahead of Tom Brady in career earnings, which was hard for fans to wrap their heads around.

"Kirk Cousins will sign a five-year, $172 million deal with the Raiders that in reality is a one-year, fully-guaranteed $20 million deal that also contains a club option for two years at $80M," reported ESPN's Adam Schefter. "The Falcons will pay Cousins $8.7 million this season, the Raiders another $1.3 million and Las Vegas also agreed to pay its new QB a fully-guaranteed $10 million roster bonus on the third day of the 2027 new league year."

Falcons offseason workout schedule for 2026

The NFL announced the offseason workout dates and minicamp schedules for all 32 teams, including the Falcons, on Friday afternoon. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Atlanta's offseason program begins on April 7 (see full schedule below).

  • First Day: April 7
  • Voluntary minicamp: April 20-22
  • OTAs: May 26-27, May 29, June 1-2, June 4
  • Mandatory minicamp: June 9-11

Falcons roster moves: DeAngelo Malone returns

The Falcons brought back free-agent linebacker DeAngelo Malone on a one-year contract. Malone, a former third-round pick, has spent his four-year NFL career in Atlanta and now returns for a fifth season. Despite playing a limited role on defense, Malone has been a key special teams player over the last few years. Check out the Falcons' updated roster arranged by position group here.

ESPN mock draft: Falcons upgrade defense

A new two-round mock draft from ESPN's Field Yates projected the Falcons to take two defensive players on Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft. To begin, Yates has the Falcons taking Florida defensive tackle Caleb Banks with pick No. 48 overall.

"Atlanta's first pick is a big swing on Banks, who has top-20 talent but was limited to just 90 snaps in 2025," wrote Yates. "He recently underwent foot surgery and is expected to be shelved from full football activity until June."
