Falcons practice squad: 9 players whose contracts are set to expire

The 2025 NFL season is over for the Atlanta Falcons, and that means any player in the final year of their contract will become a free agent when the 2026 league year begins on March 11. However, the rules are slightly different for practice squad players.

All practice squad player contracts officially expire on Monday, meaning anyone who hasn't been signed a reserve/future deal will get an early start on the 2026 NFL free agency period. Nine members of the Falcons' practice squad, including quarterback Kyle Trask and safety Jordan Fuller, have contracts set to expire.

Trask did not appear in a game this season, while Fuller entered the year as a projected starting safety. Rookie Xavier Watts beat out Fuller for the job in training camp, leaving the veteran safety on the practice squad for much of the year.
