Atlanta Falcons offensive tackle Kaleb McGary is retiring at the age of 31, according to a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero. McGary, a former first-round pick, spent his first six seasons in Atlanta but suffered a season-ending knee injury during training camp and missed the entire 2025 season.
The Falcons still have veteran Storm Norton on the roster, who played well in place of McGary in the past. Atlanta also has former Seahawks offensive tackle Michael Jerrell on the roster. Jerrell was acquired in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks last season and has starting experience.
McGary made 92 starts since being drafted by Atlanta with the 31st overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft. The former Washington Huskies standout got off to a slow start but came into his own over the last few seasons. McGary was one of the better run-blocking right tackles in the NFL.
Check out the Falcons' updated roster following McGary's retirement below (offseason additions in bold).
