The Atlanta Falcons interviewed Arizona Cardinals pass-game coordinator/wide receivers coach Drew Terrell for their offensive coordinator vacancy on Tuesday, according to a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Terrell is the first official candidate to interview for Atlanta's offensive coordinator job since the team named Kevin Stefanski head coach on Saturday. The Cardinals lost starting quarterback Kyler Murray for the season but continued to have success with Jacoby Brissett under center.
Arizona finished seventh in the NFL in total passing yards last season, averaging 232.6 per game, while the Cardinals' rushing attack was the second-worst in the league, averaging just 93.1 yards per contest.
Terrell spent the last three seasons with the Cardinals. Before that, he was with the Washington Commanders from 2020-2022. Terrell served as the assistant wide receivers coach in 2020 before being promoted to the full-time WRs coach during his final two years in Washington.
The Falcons retained defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich and hired Bill Callahan as the offensive line coach on Tuesday. Tommy Rees is considered the favorite for Atlanta's offensive coordinator job, but the team is not done looking.
