The Atlanta Falcons have claimed former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Malik Heath off of waivers and released safety Jordan Fuller from their 53-man roster, the team announced on Monday afternoon.
Heath, a former undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss, has appeared in 37 games over three NFL seasons with the Packers, recording 31 receptions for 308 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The 25-year-old has caught six of seven targets for 86 receiving yards in 11 games this season.
The Falcons currently have nine wide receivers on the roster, but they have gotten little production out of the position with Drake London out. London is considered day-to-day with a knee injury and was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report.
Fuller initially signed with the team in the offseason but lost the starting job to rookie Xavier Watts during training camp. Check out the Falcons' updated 53-man roster entering their Week 15 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Falcons and Bucs will face off in Week 15 on Amazon's Thursday night football broadcast. The game starts at 8:15 p.m. ET.
