COLUMBUS — After missing the podium last season, Fairless' Bradlee Keehn stands alone a top the podium after winning the 800-meter race in the state meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at Ohio State University Friday, June 5.
"The plan was to keep pushing every 100 meters," Keehn said with a smile. "Then for the final push it's really just a prayer and hope with taking all of the wind from being out front that you can last to the finish line."
Keehn finished with a time of 1:55.77 at the OHSAA Jesse Owens track and field state championships on Thursday, June 4.

Keehn qualified for states after finishing first at regionals with a time of 1:55.08.
What was the motivation this year? Missing out on the podium a year ago.
"It makes me rally happy to see all of the work I put in this season payoff," Keehn said. "I had a lot competition pull me through this season to get where I am today."
He now has two gold medals after winning the 4x800-meter relay on June 4.
