True, we need a healthy vet for the CB2 and the draft cannot fill any holes and never really could for the 'here and now'. The draft is about a year at least down the line. We need a freaking QB in the worst way... but I am with you on the cornerback situation and want a vet before the draft!

I don't agree we have a hole at ILB depth. I like what we have competing for RG. TE, only difference is Fells left and he wasn't all that. WR is fine if Smoke has his Sickle Cell under control.

So what makes me nervous for this year is CB2 and the draft has tons of talent at that position.

It would be nice to add some talent at TE and good news is this draft class has a ton of talent at the position.

Finding a #1 WR for the future should also be on the to do list.

Our future ILBer can wait to next year if need be.

Bucannon, Honey Badger, Smoke, JJ, Gunter are some of the players who got playing time as rookies. If we don't get a vet CB in FA then the one we draft will get plenty of playing time and if our 1st rd pick isn't a QB then he will get plenty of playing time.

I can't help but think SK knows something about some of these guys to lead him to believe that we'd be better off not overpaying in the FA market (i.e. this may be the reason for his lack of aggressivenes in persuing FA CB's).

We have entered the dog days of free agency. Few visits/signings. So far from the draft. We get to host so many draftees to come in for visits. San Diego papers were always good about finding out who has visited the club. Phoenix news is so sparse...

Yes, but may I ask u why we have to rely on others journalists , instead locals to have some news about cardinals
There are some journalist in twitter from baltimore, houston adam caplan Wilson ecc ecc able to give us some news in advance about cardinals in terms of visits signings contracts ...

Unfortunately, this sounds a lot like 2016 and that didn't work out well.
