Ex-Saints LB gives his take on Sean Payton adding Jaylen Waddle

The Jaylen Waddle trade shocked the NFL world last week, bringing the former Miami Dolphins speedster to the Denver Broncos. While some pundits are wary of Waddle's lack of production compared to his first three seasons in Miami, the consensus is buying what the Broncos are selling.

One of those players is former New Orleans Saints linebacker Manti Te'o, who played under Sean Payton during his time in Louisiana. Te’o believes Waddle will only make the Broncos better. He’s even made a bold statement that the former Alabama football star will score a lot of touchdowns with Denver.

"He's very fast, he's very competitive, and he's going to score a lot of points for the Broncos," Te'o said on NFL Network's Good Morning Football show.

Waddle hasn’t had a 1,000-yard season since 2023, but a change of scenery plus a clean bill of health could pay dividends. Plus, Waddle could benefit from being a part of Payton’s offensive attack. Check out Te’o’s entire spill below.
