Some of the names that could come to mind when people think about Manchester United in the years that followed Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure could be Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, but there lies another one, Anthony Martial.
The Frenchman made his move to Old Trafford in September 2015, coming from Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco, with the deal being worth £ 36 million. His arrival would prove to be a revelation for the Red Devils, as Martial would bag 17 goals in his first campaign in the red side of Manchester, while slotting away seven assists as well.
These numbers would remain for some time, even raising to 32 goal involvements in the 2019-20 campaign, but what followed would see the Frenchman struggle to find form. While the Red Devils would find it tough to find a spot for him in the squad, Martial would be sent out on loan to Sevilla, which came before his departure from Manchester United in 2024, ending what was a significant part of his career up to that point.
His next chapter would be in Greece with AEK Athens, before making a move to Mexico with Monterrey in Liga MX. This most recent stint would see the Frenchman struggle on the pitch, recording only four goal involvements across 17 appearances with the Mexican side.

Just a few months after bagging his first goal with Monterrey, it was reported by Fabrizio Romano, that Martial would be departing the Estadio BBVA after a mutually agreed termination of his contract.
This means that the ex-Red Devil will be able to take his talents elsewhere in the world for the next stage of his playing career.
