Hilary Knight's second goal in as many contests at the 2026 Winter Olympics gave her 14 career Olympics goals, tied for the most of any U.S. women's hockey player. It was part of Team USA's 5-0 win over Finland on Feb. 7, moving the Americans to 2-0.
The former Wisconsin Badger is playing in her fifth Olympics, the most of any hockey player in USA history. She matches Natalie Darwitz and Katie King with 14 goals, with numerous more opportunities still to come in Italy.
The U.S. went largely untested against Finland, outshooting its foe, 49-11. Current Badgers star Laila Edwards finished with two assists, and another current member of the No. 1-ranked UW team, Caroline Harvey, posted an assist and finished with a team-high nine shots.
The Americans return to the ice for another preliminary match at 1:40 p.m. Feb. 9 against Switzerland, with a battle against fellow powerhouse Canada the following day.
