England left frustrated by Ghana in goalless draw
England were brought back down to earth after being frustrated by a solid Ghanaian defence resulting in a goalless draw in Foxborough.
The Three Lions enjoyed plenty of possession in the first 45 minutes but really created little of note. Ghana manager Carlos Queiroz seemed to have set his defence up perfectly with England's passing looking predictable.
Indeed, by the break there hadn't been a single shot on target from either team, making it a very different spectacle from England's first game against Croatia.
However, the game slowly started to open up in the second half with the Black Stars occasionally managing to break free on the break and only desperate defending – whether through the likes of Declan Rice, Marc Guéhi, or Jordan Pickford – the only thing preventing a clearer opportunity for Ghana.

Saka did manage to force goalkeeper Benjamin Asare into some work with his drive being parried away late on.
From that, England recycled the ball with another substitute, Nico O'Reilly, heading off the bar. The ball then fell to Harry Kane who looked certain to finish on the rebound but the striker couldn't quite wrap his foot around and saw his effort blaze over the bar.
Corners helped England pile pressure on in stoppage time with Guehi having a looping header cleared off the line but ultimately Ghana held on to earn a point.
