Two Tennessee swimming and diving student athletes earned SEC weekly awards after performances in the final dual meet of the regular season against Duke.
Ella Jansen was named SEC Women's Swimmer of the Week, while Bennett Greene was named SEC Men's Diver of the Week on Tuesday.
Jansen was named women's swimmer of the week for the first time this season after helping the Lady Vols win three events against Duke. She recorded a personal-best time of 1:52.88, earning a win in the 200 fly. Jansen also won the the 400 IM by more three seconds, recording a time of 4:02.50.
Greene was named SEC Diver of the Week for a third time this season after sweeping the men's diving competitions against Duke. He won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events. Greene, who has recorded 12 wins this season, finished the 3-meter competition with 432.55 points, the eighth best score in program history.
A sophomore and Knoxville, Tennessee native, Greene ranks third nationally in the 1-meter and fourth in the 3-meter this season. He won a gold medal earlier this season at the USA Diving Winter Nationals, becoming the first Vol to win gold in that competition since Colin Zeng in 2017.
