The New England Patriots will reconfigure their offensive line for the 2026 season.

Eliot Wolf, the team's Executive Vice President of Player Personnel, confirmed an expected move during Monday's appearance on FanDuel TV's "Up and Adams." Jared Wilson will shift to center after New England signed Alijah Vera-Tucker to play left guard.

Will Campbell returns to block Drake Maye's blindside at left tackle after a rough postseason.

"We have two rookies that started last year. Jared Wilson is gonna move to center, which is his more natural position," Wolf said. "And we expect improvement from those two guys."

Wolf noted New England's two "solid veterans" to the right of Wilson. Mike Onwenu and Morgan Moses return to start at right guard and right tackle, respectively.

Wilson started at center for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2024 before joining the Patriots. The third-round pick started 17 games, including all four playoff matchups, at left guard in his first season.

According to Pro Football Focus, Wilson allowed 28 pressures, seven quarterback hits and four sacks during the regular season. He also received a grade of 42.8 as a run-blocker, ranking 75th among 81 qualified guards.

The Patriots signaled a shakeup to their offensive line by trading starting center Garrett Bradbury to the Chicago Bears before free agency opened. They then signed Vera-Tucker to a three-year, $42 million deal after a bounce-back season with the New York Jets.

Much attention will go to the offensive line after Maye took 11 hits and six sacks in a Super Bowl LX loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Wolf feels that performance overshadowed the unit's progress throughout the season.

"I think we just need to play better," Wolf said. "I think a lot of people are focused on the Super Bowl, which obviously everybody watched. It's a big game. But I think we showed improvement over the course of the season with that group, and we can expect that to continue this year."
