An international friendly between Guatemala and Ecuador will be held at 4 p.m. June 7 at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, according to a Columbus Crew press release. The game is a tune-up for the 2026 World Cup.

Ecuador, a Group E team in the tournament, is ranked No. 23 in the FIFA international men's rankings. It tied the Netherlands 1-1 on March 31 in its most recent friendly, and its roster includes players from Europe's top leagues, including Chelsea defensive midfielder Moises Caicedo from the Premier League and PSG defender William Pacho from Ligue 1.

Ranked No. 96 in the world, Guatemala lost its most recent international friendly 7-0 to Algeria on March 27. It has never qualified for a World Cup. Columbus Crew backup goalie Nicholas Hagen is a member of the Guatemalan national team.

Ecuador is training at the OhioHealth Performance Center, the Crew's training facility, before the World Cup.

Crew season-ticket holders will have access to a special presale beginning at 10 a.m. April 9. Tickets will be available to the public starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 13.

The 2026 World Cup is set to take place across 16 cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
