The 2026 season schedule for East Stroudsburg University football is out.
Seventh-year head coach Jimmy Terwilliger and the Warriors are coming off of an 8-3 season in 2025. The team remained strong at home, only losing its season opener to Edinboro, but back-to-back road losses to Shepherd and No. 3 Kutztown ultimately kept them from making a third consecutive appearance in the Division II playoffs.
ESU will play its first two games of 2026 on the road, first against Seton Hill on Thursday, Aug. 27, in Week 1, then against Pace on Friday, Sept. 4.
The Warriors return for their home opener against Slippery Rock, then after a week off, they'll face the PSAC's potentially newest member, Lackawanna College, for the fourth game of the year. Lackawanna was extended the invitation in 2025 and is currently going through a multi-year transition process. The Falcons are the first school in the nation to try to jump from the junior college ranks to NCAA Division II.

West Chester will wrap up East Stroudsburg's three-game homestand with an early afternoon kickoff on Oct. 3.
East Stroudsburg then goes back on the road to play Bloomsburg on Oct. 10, then Shippensburg on Oct. 17, before returning to Eiler-Martin Stadium to host Shepherd on Oct. 24.
ESU's best opponent, Kutztown, then arrives the final Saturday in October. After that, the Warriors will play its last two regular season games on the road, both at noon — against Millersville on Nov. 7, then Lock Haven on Nov. 14.
