The Philadelphia Eagles continue to do their homework on offensive line prospects ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, and the latest name to surface is an intriguing one. Memphis Tigers offensive tackle Travis Burke is reportedly set to visit the City of Brotherly Love as part of a top-30 predraft visit. This signals continued attention to the trenches.

At six-foot-nine and 315 pounds, Burke certainly looks the part. His frame alone makes him a difficult assignment, but it's his play style that makes him worth a deeper evaluation. He brings a physical and aggressive approach to the run game. He uses strong hands and natural leverage to create movement at the point of attack. When he locks onto defenders, he has the strength and anchor that allows him to sustain blocks and finish with authority.

Burke started 11 games at RT for the Tigers in 2025. Burke was excellent at the NFL Combine, and turned heads at his Pro Day, too.

Travis Burke's name is one Eagles fans may want to commit to memory.

His journey also reflects steady growth. After beginning his career at Gardner-Webb, Burke transferred to FIU, where he started 22 games and helped improve the program's rushing attack. He later made his way to Memphis, where he stepped into a starting role at right tackle before his season was cut short due to injury. Along the way, he earned recognition as a preseason All-Conference USA selection, further boosting his draft profile. There are, however, areas that will require development at the next level.

Burke's size can work against him in space, as he lacks ideal short-area quickness and can struggle against speed rushers off the edge. His footwork and timing in pass protection will need refinement, particularly against more complex NFL fronts.

Still, this is exactly the type of developmental prospect Philadelphia has shown interest in before. With Howie Roseman always valuing traits and upside, Burke represents a potential mid-round investment, one who could benefit from time, coaching, and the right system. Write Travis Burke's name down if you haven't already. While he isn't quite ready for primetime yet, he can make the vback of some team's roster while he continues to learn the nuances of playing the pro game.
