The Arizona Cardinals report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team.
Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2025, questions they face and their roster outlook.
Here is cornerback Denzel Burke.
Burke enters his second NFL season and his second with the Cardinals. He was drafted in the fifth round last year out of Ohio State and played in every game as a rookie, starting eight games.
He had 49 total tackles, two tackles for loss, three interceptions and 11 pass breakups. He played 679 defensive snaps and 80 on special teams.
Burke's four-year rookie contract was worth more than $4.5 million. He will earn a little more than $1 million in 2026 and count almost $1.2 million against the salary cap.
Burke is a likely lock for the roster and is in play for a starting job opposite Will Johnson. He will battle with Max Melton, Star Thomas and others for that role.
Can he do more than he did last season and be more consistent?
