The Philadelphia Eagles have once again invested heavily in an undrafted defensive lineman. According to Ryan Fowler of NBC Sports Philadelphia, the Eagles signed former East Carolina defensive tackle Zion Wilson to an undrafted free-agent contract that includes a $25,000 signing bonus and $225,000 in guaranteed money, a notable commitment for a player who went unselected during the 2026 NFL Draft.
Wilson arrives in Philadelphia after a breakout season with the Pirates in which he earned first-team All-American Athletic Conference honors. The 6-foot-3, 315-pound defensive tackle recorded 42 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and seven sacks, showcasing the disruptive interior presence that has become a hallmark of the Eagles' defensive philosophy.
The signing continues a long-standing trend under executive vice president and general manager Howie Roseman. While Philadelphia annually invests premium draft capital in the trenches, the organization has also developed a reputation for aggressively targeting undrafted prospects it believes can compete for roster spots.
