The Eagles are bringing in Luke Akers, son of franchise legend David Akers, for the rookie minicamp as the kicker/punter looks to make his mark in the NFL. A six-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro, David Akers played 16 NFL seasons, primarily with the Philadelphia Eagles. He began his career in 1998 with the Washington Redskins.

After departing the NFC East rivals, Akers joined the Eagles and spent 12 years in Philadelphia before stints with the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions, before retiring in 2013.
