Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman hasn't changed his tune on the A.J. Brown talk, despite the team making multiple additions to the wide receiver position.
There has been talk of Brown being made available to trade after June 1, when the Eagles could avoid a massive dead cap hit. The team has made moves to sign veterans Elijah Moore and Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, while also trading for Dontayvion Wicks. The New England Patriots have been viewed as the likeliest landing spot for Brown if a trade occurred.
As of right now, Brown is still with the Eagles, and Roseman appears determined to cling to that fact until it is no longer the case.
“What do you think the odds are that I’m answering this question any different than I answered it anywhere else? Like really, do you think that’s 50 percent? Do you think it’s 75 percent? ...A.J. Brown’s an Eagle.” Roseman said, via NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Roseman forewarned that he would continuously fall back on responding to questions about Brown with the fact that he is a member of the Eagles.
Of course, that hasn't stopped all of the interest and speculation about one of the biggest stories so far this offseason. Will Brown reunite with Patriots coach Mike Vrabel by joining New England in the offseason?
The NFL world will be watching.
